All Time Low.

Sad to see the Wiganworld General board in such a sad state. I don't see this as any kind of respect for a young man who lost his life in a most vulgar way at the hands of terrorist murderers. His death being used to stir hatred on the board does him and his family a great disrespect at this very sad time.

Joseph

I agree. Too many posters are devoid of basic courtesy.
I think also that Brian should ignore anyone complaining about the activities of other members. Either they accept Brian as sole arbiter or depart Wigan World.
It's not that long ago that WW posts were interesting and well worth participation.

True, it's disgusting.

To many people on here think the rules don't apply to them and they can post what they want. If someone is coming out with racists comments, or sick personal attacks on someone then it's up to Brian to take the appropiate action, after all it is his site, and until that happens it won't go back to being interesting and worth participation in.

I agree with both of the above posts. However my intention was only to bring attention at the lack of respect for the young man and his family, I hope this thread does not go the same way. I care not in which political way people lean, it is their right. But I do care about using such tragedies for anyone to jump on their soapboxes and constantly ram their views down our throats post after post, showing no respect at all for the real issue and other posters.

RIP young man, may God help his family and parents through this sad time.

I agree, maybe be Brian should start clamping down more, if he had done that over the racist comments then there would have been a few more people "inactive"

Very, very sad, RIP.

Sadly, nothing could prevent the poor lad's demise from being made into a political argument.

It was inevitable, Mac. But in all such cases respect should be foremost in all arguments. This I think came a very poor second best in this case.

Goose, That as I have said before is Brian's decision. I personally would not report anyone for their beliefs or comments, unless I thought they were very personal to myself, even then I would think twice about it because anything said on the internet I take very lightly and don't really care.

Thank goodness this serious thread didn't get ruined.

Just shows certain people don't have any respect.

Then we should leave it as is! Thanks.

We already had, but someone decided to post a stupid picture on a serious thread.

The picture doesn't really detract from the post, Goose. I think it maybe time you just let it go now, new name new start sort of thing, just enjoy posting and ignore anything you don't like. Life's too short and spoils the boards for others.

Thanks to all for their contributions to the thread and the respect shown.

Very true, KD. But that's what the Great British people and nation does best, defend the ones who need to be defended. Indeed it has cost us dearly in the past.

WOW....kd...

what great comments. I couldn't have put it better. Agree also with joseph, above...Wonder when will we all learn about this.

I do know that other countries, especially the US of A and Canada look after their own before looking after other nationalities....Why don't we..???
